My commissions aim to find the essence of the person beneath the physical exterior, so achieving a real likeness and something deeper at the same time. Colour and light play an important role in defining the sitter.

My personal work, in contrast, expresses the unseen spirit of nature using symbols and colour, and through this our connections with the unknowable elements of life and death.
